'Mohican State Park and the adjacent Mohican State Forest are located in arguably one of the more scenic areas of north central Ohio. The area isn't Vermont or Colorado, but it does have a great selection of accessible, friendly, and somewhat challenging ski areas. On the average, Northeast Ohio has a 93-day ski season. The Mohican State Park has acres of territory for some very scenic back-country ski fun. If you are considering cross country skiing, the bridle trail network is an ideal system. The network of Bridal Paths begin south of Loudonville, just off of State Route 97. There are several blaze-marked trails, starting at the staging area and covering the park.

There is also the Clear Fork Ski Area located about 16 miles from Mansfield, in Butler Ohio. The Clear Fork has 60 acres of skiable terrain, nine trails, and five lifts, with a vertical drop of 300 feet. (See Above)

The Snow Trails Ski Area has 50 acres of skiable terrain, all of which is lighted, and boasts 13 trails, 7 lifts, and a 300 foot vertical drop. Facilities include a snowsports learning center, a tubing park, children's programs seven days a week, a ski shop, and two restaurants.
